SprayCheck® TW Monitoring Device

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009
Using an acoustic sensor linked to the monitoring device and diagnostic software, SprayCheck TW “listens” for changes that indicate:

  • Changes in rotation speed and frequency
  • Spray loss
  • Nozzle clogging
  • Pressure variation

Audible and visual alarms notify operators as soon as corrective action is needed. Reporting tools provide detailed documentation of cleaning operations for food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other processors who must stay in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

SprayCheck TW is easy to install since its non-intrusive acoustic sensor mounts on the tank exterior. It is the only system that can be used with pressurized and non-pressurized tanks of all sizes and configurations.

Tank Cleaning

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009
If you have a tank, tote, vat, vessel, drum, tanker truck or any other container to clean, let us help you! Your containers will be cleaned faster, more thoroughly and more safely than ever before. No container is too small or too big or too dirty. We have hundreds of tank washing nozzles to choose from.

Visit http://www.tankjet.com for dozens of Tank Cleaning Products and the Expertise to
Optimize Your Operations.

Tank Washing Products
Choose from our variety of tank washing nozzles to clean your tank, vat, vessel or container. Whether your tank requires a light rinse or a high-impact wash, we have the right nozzle for your application. Click on a product of interest for additional information.

High-Pressure (Motor Driven)

Motor-driven tank washers use solid stream nozzles to provide high-impact cleaning and remove stubborn residue. The motor, air or electric, drives the nozzle assembly. Two to four nozzles revolve around the central axis of the nozzle assembly. Motors are positioned outside the tank for longer wear life.

Motorized tank washers offer independent control of the liquid pressure for cleaning and the rotational speed (cycle time) to optimize the cleaning process. Units are customizable to your operations by changing flow rates by using different nozzles or by adjusting inlet pressure.

Various shaft lengths available.

Tank Washing
Fluid Driven Constant Speed Tank Wash Nozzles

Unlike conventional fluid-driven rotating nozzles where cleaning efficiency decreases as pressures increase, our Rokon® tank washing nozzles increase cleaning impact as the fluid pressure increases. The nozzles rotate at a constant speed of approximately 10 RPM when fluid pressure is between 15 to 230 psi (1 to 16 bar). Higher fluid pressure results in a direct increase in impact of the cleaning fluid. And high-impact spraying means liquid consumption is minimized and cleaning efficiency is improved. The limited rotational speed of the nozzle makes it highly useful for cleaning, sanitizing and foaming applications. Choose from a wide variety of sizes, capacities, materials and spray coverages.

Automated Spraying

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Process improvement and expense reduction are important elements for every business. Reduced quality and increased costs due to an inefficient spraying system are easily overlooked. However, you can impact your company’s bottom line through more precise spray control. Consider the following areas of concern:

Product and Process Quality:

  • Do variations in your spray process affect the quality of your product?
  • Do you need to control the flow rate for your spray application based on conveyor or line speed?
  • Do you need accurate control of intermittent spray?
  • Does your production require sprays that can change with
    • Product size, shape, weight or position
    • Line speed
    • Temperature
    • Humidity
    • Coating viscosity
  • Is uniform coating coverage critical to your product quality or are you concerned with cost of coating per product
Automated Spraying
System Monitoring:

  • Do you need to frequently monitor and inspect your spray application to ensure optimal performance?
  • Does your process or product quality suffer because you can’t easily detect plugged spray nozzles, variations in spray patterns or flow rates?
  • Is your spray system enclosed, so that you cannot visually inspect its operation easily?
  • Would you like a monitoring system to notify the operators of faults?
  • Do you need to automatically shut your spray system down under certain operating conditions?
Automated Spraying
Safety and Maintenance:

  • Would you like to reduce liquid overspray and chemical consumption?
  • Does mist or liquid overspray create a hazardous environment?
  • Would you like to reduce the maintenance costs associated with your spray application?
  • Would you like to automate a cleaning cycle for your spray application to eliminate labor time?
  • If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you can benefit from spray system automation.

Automated Spraying
AutoJet Technologies, a division of Spraying Systems Co., was created to engineer entire systems that optimize spray performance in order to improve product quality and reduce production costs can help. AutoJet automated systems and spray controllers ensure that all system components – spray nozzles, pumps, sensors and other hydraulic and pneumatic components – work together to ensure optimal spray performance.

Typical applications include:

  • Zoned cooling
  • Lubricating systems
  • Marking systems
  • Coating applications
  • Gas cooling and conditioning
  • Dust control
  • Tank cleaning
